Portrait update

Lesson 5 from Paulette Insall's faces class yesterday was using neocolor II soluble crayons to enhance the face and features. I added more shading and highlights, blush and more dimension to the lips. Next week, we work on the clothes and background some more. I am loving this class and if you have the chance to take a class from Paulette, jump at at - she is a wonderful teacher.

Wow! This is beautiful.

I do have a question. How do you draw the face on your canvas and then paint without the outline of your figure running into your paint? I have tried every pen I own and even the ones that say they don't run make a mess when I apply the paint.

Can't wait to see what else you do with this lovely lady.
