Creative Every Day Challenge

I have joined the challenge of "Creative Every Day" run by Leah. I need to create something every day of the year, it doesn't matter what it is, as long as it is some form of creative endeavour. Today I made a card table play house/cubby. This is going to be used in the Baby Room where I will shortly be working - it will be a nice quiet space for any babies that want to get away from the crowd. It was fun to make - I made it up as I went along and I'm quite happy with the way it turned out. It is very simple, no windows, but the door flap can be rolled up. My 12 year old son couldn't resist getting inside, and I can't keep one of the cats out either! The great thing about it is when it isn't in use it can be stored very compactly - just fold up the card table and the cover until they're needed again. Now to get stuck into some painting.

My 12-year old son would be testing it out too! Welcome to the Creative Every Day challenge. I joined in December and having this focus is really life changing. I've always been creative but witnessing it and intentionally seeking it out results is many wonderful projects.

Cheers to a creative 2009!

Now that is very creative. I can just imagine the tiara I would be wearing if I lived in that little palace LOL
I'm considering joining this creative every day challenge. I've got all day to think about it ;)

Oh what fun! I want one for myself! It's like a portable circus! No wonder you can't keep kids or animals out of it. I would even try to squeeze in! :>

Happy Creating in 2009! :>

I love the playhouse-I remember playing in little tents I made from sheets and how much fun it was (I think I would still like to curl up under there with a good book:) thanks for the comment, I should have tried the watercolor tubes long time ago but I was afraid it wouldn't turn out, when really I need to quit that thinking! I signed up for creative every day also, sounds like a great experience!well, I must try to get up, it's 2pm and I just woke up (the boys were up until after 5am) I need to pick up this mess and work on my 2009 goals! I'll chat with you later (too bad I'm not in Australia, we could get together and create!) have a great day

Looks like the playhouse is kid-tested, seeing your son in there. What a great idea, especially that it can fold down to next to nothing. You are more talented with a needle and thread than you admit to. Congratulations on your first CED posting!

Great creative start Brenda! I've just finished making an art card every week during 2008, I was pleasantly surprised where this journey took me, a wonderful way to get motivated and loads of fun! enjoy! Margaret

Being creative everyday is a wonderful goal, I think we could all surprise ourselves at just how creative we are and in so many different ways that we may not even give ourselves credit for. I know sometimes as a mother, being on the spot can make me come up with some creative answers and suggestions (surprised to me oftentimes afterwards :) What a wonderful playhouse. I really Love your sketch too, the heart shaped faces are so beautiful and endearing! Happy New Creative Year!
