Sketches for World of Whimsy Course

We have just had our second lesson for the World of Whimsy class with Willowing. The first lesson involved the "rule of thirds" and composition. The second lesson was all about sketching the whimsical creatures - heads, eyes, noses, mouths, bodies - a lot of fun. It is nice to do sketching that is less realistic and where really, anything can go. Sorry about the dreadful jpegs, I have had trouble with the scanner and camera - really consider yourself lucky you have anything to look at! Thanks to those who entered my Pay It Forward giveaway - everyone has sent me their snail mail addresses so in the next few months or so, look forward to receiving an original artwork from me in the post!

Hi Brenda,
Thanks for visiting today! I have painted some girls on Lutrador fabric which is similar to Tyvekk. It worked pretty good. I am waiting on some fabric that is especially made to print on so we'll se how that goes.

you're right Brenda! I think I am trying too hard-the more frustrated I get the more I fool with something and hate it more! I'm going to get out my comp book and just doodle, sketch, whatever, until it passes:)
thanks!!

Hi Brenda
I looked at these last week and forgot to comment...sheesh I am blonde.Love the sketches...they remind me of the "nightmare before Christmas" movie characters LOL.I'm just up to painting my first face sketeches for Paulette's class...made a home made wet palette as the Golden's were drying as I mixed then let alone painted with them.I just can't get up the courage to start...maybe after dinner
hugs
Annette

thank you Brenda (for the hug!) - I'm feeling a bit better today, I really think making art helps allot-even if it's just to scribble with some crayons- it's SUNNY out today and fairly WARM, so I think I'm going to go out on my balcony and read. ;)
take care and have a great day!
Trish
